Findhorn is a unique village, often referred to as the jewel in the crown of the Moray Coast. With a wide selection of activities, the village strikes a perfect balance for either a relaxing holiday destination or a base for exploring the Moray and Speyside area.
Findhorn is a historical village with stunning natural scenery, beach, tidal bay and access to the Moray Firth. The village has a well stocked shop, post office, bistro, cafe, boat yard, chip shop and two pubs (all within five minutes walk of Ceol Na Mara). Nearby the Findhorn Foundation has an excellent shop, deli and cafe.
An active sailing community hosting a Royal Yacht Club, Findhorn Bay provides excellent sheltered sailing conditions suitable for novice to expert. Windsurfing, kayaking and fishing are just some of the other aquatic activities available locally. There are sand dunes and miles of unspoiled beaches - perfect for long relaxing walks - and Cairngorm National Park is less than one hour's drive. Findhorn is within easy reach of many of the world's most famous whisky distilleries and the hugely popular Malt Whisky Trail.
Ceol Na Mara is a bright airy house which has uninterrupted views of Findhorn Bay (the house is only 5 metres from the high tide line). Look out of almost any window to watch herons breakfasting at low tide, seals swimming round the bay or one of a huge selection of birds passing overhead throughout the day.
